I'm technically writing this a couple days late, but whatevs.... Anyway, we've made it through August, so here's your reward for putting up with my music selections for a whole month! Good on you!

Catsup
AHH IT'S THE LAST DAY OF THE JIP MONTH! For posting songs, at least.
I feel like I haven't done nearly as well this month as I have the previous months... so I'm going to bust out a long song post to even things out! :) Imma give 'em to ya rapid fire, now, so try to keep up!
Here's a fun disco house (which I guess is just more housey indie dance) tune! It's Lenno and The Ninth Floor's remix of Come Alive by HeavyWeight.
Next is a nice, upbeat indie track by The Royal Concept (which sound a lot like Phoenix, but in a good way). So here's On Our Way:
Here's another nu disco/disco house remix by Lenno, this time in conjunction with Jesse Oliver. They remixed Disco Ensemble's Second Soul, and the result is very uplifting and catchy. The style fits the vocals really really well. This one's a free download!
More indie! Here's Shake by The Head and The Heart (in my opinions one of the best indie folk bands out there), the first single off their album, to be released mid-October. I always love the prominence of the piano in their songs :)
Here's a great electro house track by Nicky Romero and Krewella, remixed by Vicetone (who I love), called Legacy.
Coming at yo face is another nice track by Koobra called Only You, which is even more disco than the first one.
I feel like I should post one more track, so here's one I've been listening to at work lately... off Zedd's album Clarity is the song Follow You Down featuring Bright Lights:
And that's all for this super long catch-up post! Stay tuned for the playlist tomorrow!

Smooth.
Hey so I'm relatively late on finding this track, so for that I apologize!
Here's a fun, calm electronic track with some great female vocals. I could totally see myself, like, vacuuming to this or something... it's just one of those tracks that when it comes on, you kind of have to smile :) Anyway, here's Koobra's Something Real featuring Joanna!

Here's to more of the same.
Hey, so I'm going to be lazy today and post another song by an artist I talked about a couple weeks ago... because I can. Also, I love this song. It's super catchy, and has more electronic elements than the previous song I posted by them. So yes, here's another nice indie pop/rock song by Smallpools called Dreaming.

Hannahhhhhhhhh
I am OBSESSED with this song right now. I love everything about it.
This is partially because it's an amazing, wonderful, flawless song, but the rest of it is that forever ago (back in high school) in my digital imaging class my teacher showed us a cool animation one of his favorite students made. The animation was set to this song, and I remember liking it, but this was back before I listened to this kind of music, so I didn't think much of it. I then re-happened upon this song through Spotify radio the other day, and I had a freak out.
So yeah, tl;dr, but still.
The song is Hannah by the Freelance Whales. It's wonderful, and here it is.

Bucket Playlist
Howdy, y'all!
So I'm attempting to make a Bucket Playlist. What is this, you may ask? It's basically a bucket list, only each activity has a song that you have to listen to whilst doing said bucket list activity. Truthfully, this stems from my obsession of figuring out what activity goes best with my favorite songs, so the bucket list part comes from the soundtrack part... and I'm starting to doubt if this makes any sense. But I'm going to do this anyway, because I haven't made a real blog post in a while, and this is all the inspiration I have!
So! Here's my list, in no particular order. Oh, and by the way, these activities are just what fit best with the song, so not all of them are really likely to happen, but if they do, I'll be sure to have an iPod and some headphones handy!

Bucket Playlist
- Climb a mountain (preferably a snowy one) and listen to Bromance by Tim Berg as you summit:
- Hang glide and listen to Discover Life by Uppermost:
- Watch a meteor shower and listen to Suite 02 (or whatever song he makes out of the concept) by deadmau5:
- Drive through a tree tunnel in a convertible and listen to Urban Contact's Summer Soul Remix of Babys by Bon Iver:
- Fish at a secluded lake in a wooded area and (obviously) listen to Old Pine by Ben Howard:
- Float in the Dead Sea and listen to Koan Sound's remix of Green & Blue from Halo 4:
- Read a fantasy novel in a windowed nook during a storm and listen to You Know Where to Find Me by Imogen Heap:
- See the aurora borealis from a dog sled and (coincidentally) listen to Boreal by Hundred Waters:
- Lie down on my bed (on top of the covers) and stare at the ceiling after a traumatic event, and listen to Higher Love by Kris Menace and Julian Hamilton:
- Swing dance to Swing Republic's cover of Crazy in Love by Beyonce:
- Explore an ice cavern (or a crystal cavern, I'm not picky) and listen to Ash by Rezonate:
- Leave after saying goodbye to a friend for what will most likely be the last time, and listen to Feed Me's cover of This Is The Thing by Fink:
- Walk through a snowy park at night while listening to the deadmau5 remix of Ice Age by HTDA:
That's all I can think of right now, but I will post more when I come up with them! Also, I kind of screwed myself over with this list, because a lot of these things can't really be planned... I guess I'll just have to make a Bucket Playlist on my iPod, and have it with me at all times. No biggie.

Weird tribal
It's a song! Woohoo!
This week's song comes from Rameses B (a name which I have not even the slightest clue how to pronounce), and it's pretty great. Monstercat (the label) describes it as glitch hop. I feel like it's closer to melodic dubstep (maybe the tempo being slower makes it more akin to melodic glitch hop?), but either way it's a really neat, very well-produced song with some weird tribal vocals that fit extremely well with the song. Enjoy it.

I like this song.
Yes, I am a fan of deadmau5. I think I've posted two songs by him before, but whatever. This song's called Infra Super Turbo Pig Cart Racer, which is a reference I don't understand to Minecraft, but the song's good! It reminds me of Kavinsky. The build is great. Hope you like it!

Dry spell continued
Yep, sorry. People tell me this happens to most guys!
Here's an old electro swing song that a friend of mine showed me today... I like it. I like Parov Stelar, but I really need to go through his music soon. Anybody with me on that? :)

I don't care, I'm posting it
This song isn't the best, but I'm so happy to just have a good, recent song to post! Oliver just posted a remix of American Girl by Bonnie McKee, and it's pretty cheesy at times (it would be much better as an instrumental, imho), but it's still pretty great (as Oliver always is). So here it is! And it's free, btw.

Dry spell
Yes, I admit it, I'm at a music-finding dry spell right now... my Soundcloud feed has just not been living up to my expectations as of late.
So! I'm just going to post a couple songs from the past to make up for it! I haven't posted these songs before, but I'll hope you forgive me since they're not new-to-me and they're not flashbacks... they're just... older.
Here are a couple to make up for the last few days I've missed hoping for a good song on Soundcloud and scouring setlists for something good (which I coincidentally did not find):
This one's a hark back from my Skrillex-loving time (don't hate me!) and it's a really nice, melodic house track he did with Penny (known as PennyBirdRabbit on Soundcloud, I believe, but don't quote me on that because I don't feel like fact-checking right now), and it's probably super overplayed for EDM, but whatever. I've been liking it lately. So here's All I Ask Of You by Skrillex featuring Penny.
What, another track?! Yep! This one's an electronic remix of an indie track! My favorite! The original track is by Passion Pit and it's called Take A Walk. The remixer is The M Machine, and I think they did a great job at actually making the song more solemn (especially considering the song's lyrical content). It has a magical feel to it, and I love it.
Last song for today! Since I'm talking about songs I liked in high school, I might as well post Again and Again by Basto. It's a lovely track with a (probably too loud) three-word vocal sample, and some beautiful set of pingy pongy delays. It's catchy and happy and I love it. I first heard it on Overwerk's Into The AM mix he did, which you should check out, because it's amazing. It should be somewhere, just search it. Anyway, here's that song, and I hope you enjoy all these!
Edit: Overwerk got me thinking, and I'm going to add a mashup of his for good measure! It's super catchy and basically flawless, and I love it. You'll probs be like, I remember this song! I know I was :) Here's I Am London by Overwerk (et al).

Flashback: Happy!
Here's a fun song that's got some soul, so I'm going to call it a...
Flashback Alert!
Even though it's a current song, I think it's deserving of the title. But you decide for yourself! Here's Happy by C2C featuring Derek Martin.

Still late, but whatever...
This one isn't as late though... less than an hour, I promise!
Thought I'd post yet another great remix by my home skillet biscuit (not really, I've never had personal, nor internet contact with the man), TheFatRat! This is a great electro/melodic dubstep remix that feels like it took a quick dip in the 1980s. So yes, here's the TheFatRat remix of Picking Up All The Pieces by Strange Talk (who are also worth checking out... I really like Eskimo Boy).

It's August!
...and I'm technically posting this on the third, but I'll change the posting date! Nobody will be the wiser! *maniacal laughter*
Anyway, today's song is one given to me by a friend, and I'm kind of addicted to it right now. It's a great summery indie tune, with a catchy synth line and quality vocals! So without further adoooooooo, here's Panama Wedding's All Of The People, the first song of the month! Also, it's free! If there's a better way to start August than with free music, I am unaware of it.
